M5 East Freeway resurfacing program
Roads and Maritime Services will undertake a program of resurfacing along the full length of the M5 East Freeway, including the on and off ramps and the tunnels. This work will provide a smoother, quieter ride for motorists.
This essential resurfacing program is funded by the NSW State Government at a cost of approximately $10 million.
The work will be undertaken at several locations at the same time and take approximately 27 nights to complete. The work will commence on Sunday 11 December, 2011 and is expected to be completed by the end of March 2012, weather permitting.
